TestFlight subscriptions are free tests, not real paid subscriptions. In Apple's standard test cycle, auto-renewal stops after about 7 days; TV Plus test access ends when the subscription expires. No money is charged. It never becomes a paid subscription or carries over to the App Store version.
Places are filled in TestFlight joining order. Email signup does not reserve a place.

Installation and file verification
Transfer the APK to your TV on a USB drive and open it in a file manager. Allow installation and display over other apps. Scan the QR with your phone and complete the free HDMI test.
Requires a compatible built-in Android TV / Google TV. External boxes cannot overlay another HDMI input. This is a development-signed test package, not a store release.

Android closed beta: join and install
The beta is live only for Google accounts added to the Play Console tester list. It will not appear in Play Store search.
Phone mode is free. Google Play transactions using a “Test card” incur no real charge. Closed beta membership alone does not make purchases free; other accounts may incur real charges.

Samsung TV Alpha
Experimental · Not device-testedWe have prepared an initial Samsung Tizen prototype designed to place sample captions over HDMI video.
This alpha only tests sample captions over HDMI. It has no live translation, phone pairing or LG webOS support. TV compatibility has not been verified.
Samsung Tizen uses WGT, not APK. This package is unsigned: installation requires a computer, Samsung TV SDK and a certificate for your TV. It cannot be installed directly. No payment is needed for this diagnostic.
What is ready, and what comes next?
- The initial diagnostic interface and remote controls are ready.
- Next: picture and sound testing on a physical Samsung TV, followed by live translation from a phone.

- Long captions resize more steadily without abrupt grow-and-shrink flicker.
- The previous translation remains visible through brief camera and network gaps while the next line arrives.
- Uses the same TV connection protocol as the iOS 1.0 (25/26) and Android phone 1.0.7 (20) beta builds.
- Build 16 uses the same signature as the previous public TV APK and can update it in place.
This is a test APK. Install it only on a compatible TV and use the free HDMI compatibility test.

How do I use it on Android TV?
Install the app on Android TV / Google TV and pair your phone. The free HDMI test checks whether your model supports captions over your game. External Android boxes cannot overlay another HDMI input.
Which games can I use it with?
Subtitled games on Xbox, PlayStation and other consoles. The camera needs to read the original text. PCs and other screen sources work too.
Is phone mode free?
Yes. Select Phone, frame the text and translate. No TV app, QR pairing, account or subscription needed.
When do I need internet?
For the first language download and subscription checks. Translation runs on your phone and reaches the TV over your local network.
How do I get the best result?
Keep your phone steady, reduce reflections and frame only the original subtitles. Focus and phone performance affect translation speed and accuracy.

Your camera feed stays on your phone
Camera images and caption history are not recorded. Android uses Google ML Kit; iPhone uses Apple Translation. RevenueCat and the stores process purchase information, not camera images or game subtitles.
TV delivery uses local HTTP. Use only a trusted home network.
